By the criminal decision no. 934/A of 8 May 2023, the Bucharest Court of Appeal ruled as follows:
1. The conviction of the defendant SECUREANU FLORIN – ADRIAN, at the time the acts were committed manager of the "Nicolae Malaxa" Clinical Hospital in Bucharest, to a punishment to 3 years and 8 months of imprisonment and it denied the defendant the following rights both during and for a period of 2 years after serving the prison sentence: to be elected in public authorities or in any other public offices, to occupy a position involving the exercise of state authority and to hold a position, to practice the profession or to carry out an activity similar to the one in which he perpetrated the offence of two offences of abuse of official powers if the public official has obtained for himself or for another an undue advantage.
2. The conviction of the defendant T.I.V. to a punishment of 2 years of imprisonment with suspension of the execution for a probation period 3 years and it denied the defendant the following rights for a period of 2 years since the conviction decision remains final: to be elected in public authorities or in any other public offices, to occupy a position involving the exercise of state authority and to hold a position, to practice the profession or to carry out an activity similar to the one in which he perpetrated the offence adding and abetting the abuse of official powers if the public official has obtained for himself or for another an undue advantage.
During the probation period the two defendant T.I.V. shall perform unpaid community work for 60 days, at the Public Domain Administration Bucharest - Sector 1, or at the Administration of Lakes, Parks and Recreation Bucharest.
The court orders the defendants Secureanu Florin Adrian and T.I.V. to pay jointly and severally to the civil party, Nicolae Malaxa Clinical Hospital, the sum of 140,378.22 lei, representing damages for the act described in point 3 of the indictment.
The court finds that out of the amount of 140,378.22 lei, the defendant T.I.V. paid the amount of 10,000 lei on 17 January 2022.
The court orders the defendant Secureanu Florin – Adrian to pay the sum of 5,000 lei as judicial fees to the state, and the defendant T.I.V. to pay the sum of 800 lei, as judicial fees to the state.

The defendants were sent to trial by the National Anticorruption Directorate – the Section of combatting offences assimilated to corruption offences on 15 September 2020, see press release no. 638/VIII/3 of 29 September 2020.
