The prosecutors within the National Anticorruption Directorate – the Territorial Service Brașov are performing investigations in a penal case related to suspicions regarding the perpetration of corruption acts and assimilated to corruption acts related to the restoration of property rights for a surface of 90.000 ha of forest land and 100 ha agricultural land.
On the 15th of October 2014, following the authorisation by the competent court, house searches are performed in 25 locations situated in Brașov county, Bacău, Covasna and Bucharest, 5 of which in public institutions of local interest, one in a law practice, and the rest in offices of commercial companies and houses of natural persons.
In this case, the prosecutors benefited from the specialized support of the Romanian Intelligence Service and the Special Intervention Brigade of Jandarmery.
